A Briggs Visa and Passport Expeditors aggregates the voluminous and complicated visa rules from over 170 independent nations to help US citizens visit and do business within their borders. The web-based order-tracking system I helped build helps coordinate the process of getting the required documents from the customer to the Consulate or Embassy and back again.

The system runs through a web browser coupled to a MYSQL database. MYSQL uses open standards, making it easy to plug into, and easily scales up to millions of records.

The customer-facing and back-end portions of the system are written in PHP - an open-source language which dynamically produces HTML, enabling users to login, pass information to the system, and see only what's relevant to them.
